SOAR introduced the Inflatable Canoe to the US market in 1993, which have since become one of the finest, most versatile and sought-after watercraft in the world. What makes them special is that they can be paddled w/ a canoe or kayak paddle, rowed w/ oars, and optionally propelled by motor or sail. For a paddler with a bit of skill, you will find that a SOAR canoe loaded to full capacity can be easily maneuvered through technical whitewater.
What makes this an inflatable canoe rather than a kayak is our unique hull design. The floor is set below the tubes, creating not only a rounded bottom, but also providing an edge similar to those in hard shelled whitewater canoes. This also provides paddlers the ability to either sit on top of the seat or to kneel for more stability. The inflatable kayak paddler’s body takes up so much interior space that there is little room for gear, where as in either the kneeling or elevated seating in a SOAR allows for maximum storage space. This paired with the design of the I-beam floor allows you a higher load capacity than any other small inflatable. Extended trips with plenty of comfortable gear is easy!
Built of rugged hypalon and neoprene, SOAR canoes are built to handle some of the wildest country the world has to offer. From canyon rivers in the US West to fly-in rivers in Alaska, NW Territorities and the Yukon to horse-backed in the Amazon, and jeeped-topped in Mongolia. The grommet strip that runs along the length of each tube allows gear to be easily and securely lashed, and seats to be moved around for best weight distribution. The grommet strip can also be used to attach certain accessories. You will love how user-friendly a SOAR is.

Our Inflatable Canoes
The smallest boat in our line excels as a solo whitewater boat, making every little riffle in the river that much more enjoyable. These are commonly used as a tender for sailboats as well due to how small they roll.
Mostly paddling solo but occasionaly have a passenger or a trip on the horizon? The Blaze is the boat for you. Great whitewater performance when paddling solo, but enough room for two or lightweight trip gear.
The Canyon is the most versitile boat in our line. This boat is the sweet spot between gear capacity and the ability to paddle it solo. Plenty of room to put an extra seat in and take it to the lake for the day as well.
Designed as our whitewater expedition boat , the S-16 has plenty of room for extended trip gear. The Explorer is also our reccomended flat water boat as it holds the most room for people as well as the best straight line tracking out of our boats.
THE float hunt boat. The Pro Pioneer is the largest boat we make at 16' long, 48" wide, 14" tube diameter and a 5" floor. This is designed to fly in and haul out everything but the kitchen sink. Added d-rings allow for rowing frames to be easily attatched as well
